ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS (MUST BE SEPARATED INTO CATEGORY):
- Grass clippings, leaves, garden vines, and stalks.
- Trees, tree branches, scrap lumber, untreated wood.
UNACCEPTABLE MATERIALS:
- Bricks, concrete, glass, metal, and wire.
- Car bodies or car parts (such as tires, stereos, etc.)
- Painted wood.
- Household garbage.
- Household appliances (such as microwaves, toasters, etc.)
- Hazardous materials.
- Electronic devices (such as TV’s, stereos, radios, etc.)
- Plastic bags, plastic jugs, or any other forms of plastic.
There will be no charge to Flandreau city residents for leaves and yard cleanup from the opening date through the end of May as well as during the month of October through closure for the season. Commercial and all other users will be charged at the regular scheduled fee rate.
A FINE MAY BE IMPOSED IF GUIDELINES ARE NOT FOLLOWED. IN ADDITION, YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM FURTHER USE OF THE LANDFILL.
