Flandreau's business, industrial and entertainment venues continue to grow. Duckwall-Alco outlet near CENEX and Flandreau Motors opened its doors to the Flandreau community on May 1st, 2008. Mayor Warren Ludeman and Chuck Jones, City Administrator joined the store manager in the ribbon cutting ceremony. The long-awaited Bike Path project is underway. Funded through a federal grant with the assistance and cooperation of the BIA, the bike path will provide a safe venue for bike and foot traffic to the City Park. City Park entrance. A June 1st, 2008 completion date is anticipated. A new feature called "Spotlight on:" is being presented this month to bring more attention to the many businesses and organizations that comprise Flandreau's vibrant private sector. The first business to be so spotlighted is Flandreau Medical Center - Avera Health (FMC). With public meetings being conducted concerning the potential site for a new hospital, it is both timely and topical. Please click on the link below.
